β¨ Eco-Friendly Gifts for the Beauties, Foodies, and Outdoorsy β¨
If you’re trying to spend your money in alignment with your values this holiday season, you will love these eco-friendly gift ideas! I am pretty obsessed with making sure that everything I spend money on is ethical and sustainable. All the brands on this list have high quality products that last longer and are better for our bodies (to wear or consume!). And they have the added benefit of helping us consume with less harm to the Earth.
I always promote buying secondhand, aka thrifting and gifting. The most sustainable option is to upcycle and reuse what already exists.
But if you’re going to buy new, make sure that you’re supporting brands who consciously try to do better for everyone involved, including the earth. π
How do I evaluate eco-friendly gifts?
I count things as eco-friendly and sustainable gifts if they do the following:
- π± Use natural, organic, or recycled materials
- β»οΈ Create positive impact: they use regenerative growing methods, plant trees for each purchase, donate to environmental causes, etc.
- β£οΈ Use ethical and fair labor standards
- π Help you reduce your consumption or impact: reusable, replaces a single use item, etc.
- π¨ Reduce carbon emissions in production or shipping
If these sound like the things you want to support, then you’re gonna love this list!
